Red Devils looking to return to winning ways
Ruben Amorim has named a strong squad for Manchester United’s Europa League trip to Viktoria Plzen on Thursday night.
The United boss is looking for his first win in two games after consecutive defeats to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League as the Red Devils head to the Czech Republic.
Neither Luke Shaw or Jonny Evans trained on Wednesday but the bulk of the United squad travelled for their midweek assignment.
Amorim has largely rotated during the opening few weeks of his tenure, so it will be fascinating to see what he does. United have laboured in this competition all season but recorded a 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt last time out to raise hope of qualifying for the knockout rounds.
Marcus Rashford could start up front amid fresh doubts about his long-term future at the club following recent reports linking him with a move away.
Man United predicted XI: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Yoro; Amad, Mainoo, Casemiro; Dalot; Garnacho, Fernandes; Rashford
Injured: Evans, Shaw
Time and date: 5.45pm GMT on Thursday 12 December 2024
Venue: Doosan Arena
TV channel and live stream: TNT Sports
