Manchester United are eyeing up a move for Borussia Dortmund full-back Thomas Meunier, according to the Telegraph.

The Belgian international has become a subject of interest from the Red Devils, who are now running against time in their bid to bolster their squad this summer.

With just two weeks left before the Premier League summer transfer window closes, the Old Trafford outfit have made only three signings – Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez.

Keen to breathe new life and add depth to the squad, United have now turned their sights to Meunier as they look to bolster their options on the right side of the defence.

Meunier moved to Dortmund on the Bosman rule in the summer of 2020 following the end of his contract with French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain.

The attacking full-back has been a mainstay for the Bundesliga outfit, making 62 appearances and registering 10 goal involvements for the club.

United have reportedly proposed a £12.6 million bid for the 30-year-old as they look to offload out-of-favour defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 24-year-old is reportedly not in the plans of newly-appointed manager Erik ten Hag and has been linked with a return to Crystal Palace this summer.

While the Red Devils are willing to listen to loan offers, they will have to cut their losses on the England international, who was signed for a staggering £50 million back in 2019.

Crystal Palace are reportedly pondering a £10m move for Wan-Bissaka, who has been left out in the cold at Old Trafford after losing his starting role to Diogo Dalot.

Meunier, who is under contract with Dortmund until 2024, has made 56 appearances for the Belgian national team, netting eight goals and 14 assists since his debut in November 2013.
