Erik ten Hag’s impress for an hour in victory
Manchester United beat Real Betis 3-2 at the Snapgdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.
The Red Devils put in an impressive hour against the LaLiga side, quickly recovering from falling a goal behind through Iker Losada’s strike, with Marcus Rashford scoring a quick-fire equaliser from the penalty spot after Amad Diallo was brought down.
Amad then continued his fine form this summer with a fine finish from a fantastic Harry Amass cross before Casemiro added a third before the break.
Erik ten Hag made changes at the interval and both teams lost of their attacking verve until Betis pulled one back through Diego Llorente.
United did manage to hold on in what was broadly a promising performance until the host of changes. Worries did emerge, however, when Rashford and Antony were both forced off in the second-half.
Ten Hag’s side next play Liverpool in Columbia, South Carolina before they meet Manchester City in the Community Shield.
