Red Devils strong favourites to progress into fourth round
Manchester United begin their attempts to recapture the Carabao Cup at home to Barnsley on Tuesday.
It hasn’t been the easiest of starts for Erik ten Hag in his third season at the club but Saturday’s 3-0 win over Southampton has at least raised the mood somewhat.
Cup competitions have arguably been what has kept the Dutchman in the Old Trafford dugout, so slipping up here could go on to have major implications on his future.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.
Old Trafford in Manchester will host.
TV channel: The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.

Ten Hag was hopeful all of Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire came through the Saints game unscathed.
Rasmus Hojlund and Luke Shaw are said to be progressing on their return from injuries but may not be ready here. Victor Lindelof, Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro are all expected to miss out.
It would be a major shock not to see United win, even if they have endured a mixed start to the season.
