The legendary Norwegian has signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James during the summer while offloading the likes of Antonio Valencia, Ander Herrera, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling.

The feeling is this is only the first part of Solskjaer’s rebuild and that fans can expect to see plenty of the same.

Tonali appears to be a potential target and he would suit the former striker’s transfer policy of signing young, emerging talent.

United’s need for a midfielder or two is not a secret either and so perhaps they’re considering investing during the January transfer window.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Red Devils, along with Borussia Dortmund and Ajax, have sent a scout to watch Tonali during the Brescia-Bologna clash as they step up their interest.

It appears there will be a battle for the sensational youngster’s signature so Solskjaer will have to act fast to secure his target.

Although interest in Tonali makes sense, it could be that such a report emerged in the first place in order to whip up a transfer battle and secure him his big dream move.
