Alexander Sorloth joined Crystal Palace in January of 2018 but struggled in England. He has discovered a new lease of life on-loan to Turkish side Trabzonspor, bagging 33 goals and grabbing 11 assists last season.

His form has led to speculations about a return to England.

This has also been confirmed by Turkish journalist Asist Analiz. He says that United are keen on signing Soroth but they face competition from Spurs.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has made no secret of wanting a new striker in the side to challenge Spurs captain Harry Kane. Tottenham have had an inquiry rejected for Southampton striker Danny Ings and have now set their sights on Sorloth.

Sorloth had an agreement to join German side RB Leipzig. But, now the move is on the rocks following the cancellation of his medical.

United’s defeat to Crystal Palace renewed calls for the Red Devils to sign new players to renew the side.

However, the MEN report states that any deal will be complicated as Sorloth’s loan spell at Trabzonspor does not expire until the end of the current season.

They also understand that Sorloth will not be a target and a new striker isn’t a priority this summer.

Sorloth is valued at £18 million by Transfermarkt.
