Manchester United will host Liverpool at Old Trafford in the fourth round of the FA Cup on January 23.

The Red Devils claimed a 1-0 victory against Watford in the previous round of the competition last weekend, with Scott McTominay popping up to score the winner at the Theatre of Dreams.

The Manchester side will return to action on Tuesday night when they take on Burnley ahead of their tough visit to Merseyside in the Premier League. This means that the United and Liverpool will face each other for two consecutive weekends.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side recently crashed out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Manchester City, and their focus will now be on the Premier League and Europa League this season, but the challenge of beating Liverpool in the FA Cup will be an added incentive.

Meanwhile, City will take on fourth-tier Cheltenham Town, Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Wycombe Wanderers, while Arsenal will face either Southampton or Shrewsbury Town in the famous competition.

Crawley Town, who recently shocked Leeds United with a 3-0 win, will visit Championship side Bournemouth while non-league Chorley will welcome Wolverhampton Wanders to Victory Park.

Pep Guardiola’s City lifted the prestigious trophy in 2019 after his side trounced Watford 6-0 in the final at Wembley.

Arsenal won the latest edition of the competition, their 14th FA Cup title, after beating Chelsea 2-1 in the final thanks to a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
