It is believed that along with Liverpool, Manchester United was keeping a tab in the situation to find an opening. However, the two Premier League giants are set to face excessive competition from Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The La Liga title holders are looking to lure the youngster to bolster their forward options. On the other hand, the Bundesliga champions could look to strengthen their star-studded attacking line-up.

It is believed that the MLS team has put a  £7.5million price tag on the 18-year-old player. Even though the price shouldn’t be much of s problem for the Red Devils, however, the excessive competition from elite teams could lower United’s chances to land USMNT starlet.

Manchester United’s star forward duo od Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, have performed wonderfully. However, they have a total age of 70 years which could create some difficulties in their performance in later years.

On the other hand, Red Devils have some younger options. The arrival of Jadon Sancho has strengthened the forward line. However, recent injuries to Marcus Rashford and Tahith Chong have pointed the finger at the squad’s lack of depth.

Pepi is a quality forward option who is backed to become future no. 9 star for the USA national team. His incredible growth has already proved that he is on the right track. By signing such a budding star early on can save Manchester United from spending hefty sums later on pricey forwards.
