The lure of the Premier League is proving to be a barrier Bayern Munich can’t out jump. Declan Rice becomes the second star linked with a move to Manchester United to turn down a potential switch to the Bundesliga champions.

First it was Harry Kane, who could end up staying at Tottenham, but now Declan Rice will reportedly prioritise a move to another Premier League club as he prepares to push back advances from Bayern Munich.

Rice has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, although reports earlier today suggested his dad has been in transfer talks with Manchester United.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham chairman David Sullivan’s starting valuation for Rice is over £100 million. An offer from Arsenal has already been touted but it is now suggested that it will be worth in the region of £90m, which is just short of West Ham’s pricy demands.

United must balance out the books to make a deal like this happen, should they push on for a deal to sign Mason Mount after agreeing personal terms with the Chelsea midfielder.

The Daily Mail also suggests United would consider using players in part-exchange as part of their interest in Rice.

One player that could be offered is Scott McTominay. What a good addition he’d be at West Ham, if they were to lose Rice this summer which looks very probable.
