Capable of playing on either flank, Sulemana is an exciting prospect who could go a long way in his career. He is tipped to become the most successful footballer from Ghana since former Chelsea star Michael Essien.

Indeed, Sulemana’s performances have not gone unnoticed in his home nation. The 19-year-old made his senior bow for Ghana last October and has so far won two caps. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Bayer Leverkusen are also interested in the player but Ajax appears to be pulling all the stops to land him. In fact, their director of football, Marc Overmars is set to travel to Denmark on Monday to watch 19-year-old play against FC Copenhagen.

The Dutch giants failed with a £10m offer for the player in January. Undaunted, they are ready to up the ante this summer.

Ajax signed 20-year-old Mohammed Kudus from Nordsjaelland last summer The Ghanaian helped them win the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup this season. Whether history will repeat itself with Sulemana remains to be seen.

United have invested in two wingers already in Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo. According to the report, they remain keen on Sulemana and consider him a safe investment.

The Red Devils expect the player’s value to only increase in the months to come. Sulemana is clearly a player to watch out for. Whether United can trump Ajax to his signature remains to be seen.
