Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward insists manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be backed financially this summer.
The Old Trafford club are planning a significant rebuild after finishing sixth in the Premier League, with five signings already in mind.
“It’s been a turbulent season,” Woodward told the Times. “It clearly didn’t end the way we hoped, and with a disruptive managerial change part way through.
It’s understood that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Kalidou Koulibaly and Saúl Niguez are seen as ‘priority signings’ with communication already established between their clubs.
Swansea winger Daniel James is expected to join for €15m, while eyes are being kept on Paulo Dybala who is unsettled at Juventus.
