Hannibal will be joining fellow Manchester United academy stars Alvaro Fernandez and Ethan Laird in the Championship next season.

Manchester United starlet Hannibal Mejbri looks set to join Championship side Birmingham City on a season-long loan, according to the Manchester Evening News.

United seem to be building a decent relationship with Birmingham City after recently sending Tahith Chong and Teden Mengi there on loan last season.

One thing is certain, the Blues will be getting a better player than Chong this time around, although the Dutch international was unlucky with a lengthly spell out injured during his time at the club.

The 19-year-old Tunisia international is closing in on a loan move that will hopefully give him the opportunity to play regular senior football.

Over the past year, Hannibal has shone on the international stage as well as in United’s youth teams, but now it’s time for him to really kick on and develop as a professional footballer.

In a short cameo against Liverpool last season, Hannibal showed a fiery aspect to his game, which if controlled could be of benefit to him in the Championship this season.

Millwall and Middlesbrough both reportedly made offers to sign the former Monaco wonderkid on loan.
