Manchester United star sets new record for chances created | OneFootball

Bruno Fernandes has been the main creative spark in Manchester United’s team since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon in January 2021.

Now, the Portuguese Magnificio has broken the record for the most chances created by a United player in a calendar year, as per ManUtd.com.

Fernandes has created 120 opportunities with five games left to play – starting today against Bournemouth – after surpassing the previous highest tally of 100, which was set by Ryan Giggs.

On top of that, Fernandes has 16 goals and 15 assists in 2023, and he will hope there’s more to come before the start of the new year.

After missing a spot kick against Chelsea on Wednesday night, Fernandes will be looking to get on the scoresheet when the Reds host Bournemouth at Old Trafford this afternoon.

United also have to play Liverpool, West Ham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest before we enter 2024.
