Manchester United star Donny van de Beek’s real feelings about his lack of minutes have been reportedly revealed.
The Dutch youngster hasn’t featured as much as he perhaps would’ve liked or anticipated after being purchased for roughly £40m in the summer.
United needed better quality in the squad overall but many have been impressed with Van de Beek’s cameos so far and have wondered why he hasn’t started fixtures more often.
After all, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side started the season rather shakily so if it ever made sense to change things up it would’ve been now.
Supporters are hoping to see more of Van de Beek, particularly after his impressive showing vs Istanbul Basaksehir midweek.
It’s good to hear Van de Beek isn’t unhappy as it could easily stir up a storm as evidenced by other players.
The former Ajax star already had whispers propping up that he’s looking to leave, with some even claiming he wasn’t a signing Solskjaer wanted.
Hopefully Van de Beek has done enough to force his way into the starting XI and his versatility should really help him in this regard.
Some fans have even called for Solskjaer to play him on the right-wing instead of Juan Mata, who has often struggled in the role.
