Press reports close to Manchester United's management revealed that the club will continue to provide the necessary support to Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim in his position as the English team's manager, even after the loss to fourth-division side Grimsby and the club's early exit from the EFL Cup.
Despite growing external pressure, the club's leadership has reportedly reached a consensus regarding the team's current trajectory. Internal discussions have concluded that dismissing the head coach at this pivotal juncture would be a counterproductive measure.
As a result, Rúben Amorim retains the board's confidence and will continue to lead first-team preparations without interruption. His immediate focus will be on steering the squad through its upcoming challenges, with confirmation that he will remain in charge for this weekend's crucial Premier League encounter against Burnley.
Despite previous suggestions that he might step down, Rúben Amorim is now anticipated to remain in his position as Manchester United manager for the foreseeable future.
The Portuguese tactician, who originally took the helm at Old Trafford in November 2024, has since overseen a total of 45 matches across all competitions. His tenure thus far has yielded a record of 17 victories, 9 draws, and 19 defeats as he continues to shape the team according to his strategic vision.
