Premier League side Manchester United are now set to move on to the pursuit of Moises Caicedo due to their failure in the approach for Serie A midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

United had agreed a fee with Juventus for Rabiot and the Bianconeri wanted to sell the Frenchman to fund a move for Leandro Paredes. But Marco Conterio has now also confirmed that United are now out of contention for the midfielder and the move will not take place.

Rabiot’s entourage had requested for €10 million per season and commissions and this was a key reason for the move falling through. But now, the Red Devils are expected to move on to their chase of Brighton’s Caicedo.

The midfielder was looked at by United in the January window of 2021 but Brighton signed him instead. The South American impressed against the Red Devils recently in Brighton’s 2-1 win at Old Trafford in the first game of the campaign.
