Manchester United are set to announce the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer, according to the Manchester Evening News.
United have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and are pursuing a transfer for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
The winger is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford, but United could face competition from Tottenham Hotspur in the race to secure his services.
They are also seeking a new striker and have been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres.
Aside from targeting ready-made stars, United are planning for the future by bringing in younger players with high potential.
They are set to complete Kana-Biyik’s move and are only waiting on a few regulatory steps before announcing the transfer.
The 18-year-old’s contract with Le Havre expires this summer, and Man Utd will sign him as a free agent.
He is set to follow in the footsteps of Paul Pogba, who also arrived in Manchester as a teenager from the Ligue 1 club.
Kana-Biyik scored nine goals in 16 games last season for the French club’s under-19s. He also trained with the first team but did not make his competitive debut.
The centre-forward will reportedly be loaned to INEOS-owned FC Lausanne-Sport, although no final decision has been made.
He could stay at United next season and compete for a place in the under-21 team.
