Manchester United scouts were reportedly in the stands to watch Napoli stars Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Alessandro Buongiorno, but both would be very expensive.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the emissary representing the Premier League club was watching their 1-0 Serie A victory away to Empoli on Sunday.
Kvaratskhelia converted the decisive penalty, while centre-back Buongiorno was named Man of the Match by the Lega Serie A.

Of the two players, the Georgia international is more likely to move on next summer, as he is currently negotiating a new contract and the talks are continuing to stall.
His agent has seemingly requested €8m per season wages, a huge leap considering he currently earns €1.8m per season.
If he were to sign that contract, it could include a release clause worth €100m.
As for Buongiorno, he was only signed from Torino a few months ago for €40m including add-ons and has a release clause already written into the deal.
That is worth €70m, but becomes active only from June 2027 for clubs outside of Italy.
