A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla has made his way onto the radar of Premier League giants Manchester United.
That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Juanlu Sánchez as the player in question.
Juanlu, for his part, is fresh off a productive opening to the campaign at club and international level alike.
After notching a goal across four appearances in La Liga with the aforementioned Sevilla, the youngster then played his part in Spain’s U21s putting Scotland to the sword over the weekend.
Particularly noteworthy when it comes to as much was Juanlu’s showcase of versatility, with the 21-year-old, after opening the term as an attacking midfielder at club level, having reverted to right-back with La Rojita.
And such versatility, coupled with Juanlu’s abilities both in and out of possession, have evidently begun to pique attentions across the continent.
As per a report from the aforementioned Diario AS, scouts from Premier League heavyweights Manchester United were in attendance at Spain’s meeting with Scotland, to watch Juanlu in action:
The Red Devils are understood to be keeping a close eye on the defender’s development with a view to a future move for his signature, having also been in the stands to watch Juanlu throughout this summer’s Olympic Games.
