Manchester United are apparently desperate to fend off Chelsea’s interest in one of their top players and have made moves to do so.
The Blues are set for a busy summer transfer window after a very quiet January window and some terrible form on the pitch since then. They did manage to win their last game though against Southampton.
The Blues won the game 4-0 in what was a much needed convincing performance, with goals coming from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella.
The Saints were a very poor opposition of course, but Chelsea really needed a big win and a big performance, and that is exactly what they did last night right in the nick of time as they look to keep challenging for that all important Champions League spot.
Neto was superb playing as the number 9 and as well as getting his goal, he has explained why he loves playing as a striker with a hilarious answer!

The Daily Mirror report United are desperately trying to fight off Chelsea’s interest in Mainoo by offering him a new contract.
They say Manchester United have held fresh talks with Mainoo’s representatives over a new contract, as Chelsea wait in the wings.
United have reopened talks with Mainoo’s representatives, who are seeking a £180,000-a-week deal for the 19-year-old to recognise his status as a first-team regular and a regular England international. Mainoo is understood to currently earn around £20,000 per week and is under contract until 2027 after he signed a long-term deal following his breakthrough in 2023.
United hope, according to The Mail, that that a compromise can be reached and that Mainoo will remain at Old Trafford going forward.
