Securing Jadon Sancho no more a priority for Manchester United

According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have shifted their attentions away from Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils were keen on the 21-year-old last summer in what was the standout saga of the window. However, Dortmund held firm and he ended up staying in Germany.

United have not been idle and instead splashed the cash on Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo. The duo set the club back by £45million and are options the club could choose to deploy at right-wing.

Meanwhile, Dortmund appear to be more pliable in comparison to last summer to losing their star man.

With them struggling to qualify for next season’s Champions League, the future of Erling Haaland and Sancho have been called into question. Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke insists the club will listen to ‘exceptional’ offers for Sancho in the summer.

Whether the Red Devils will be tempted to put in an offer to land their prized target remains to be seen.

Experience vs Promise!

Pellistri is currently out on loan while Diallo has already made his first-team bow, scoring his first goal as well. While there is the promise, both players are not yet ready to perform week in week out at the top level.

Sancho is already a seasoned campaigner and is much ahead of the United duo in his development. It is fair to say he could go straight into our line-up if signed.
