Manchester United are monitoring AS Roma defender Evan Ndicka, according to Il Messaggero (h/t TuttoMercatoWeb).
Ndicka has been a key figure for Roma since arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer in 2023.
His contracts expires in 2028, meaning the Italian club are under no immediate pressure to offload him.
However, they are trying to get some outgoings over the line before the end of the current financial year on June 30.
Roma are reluctant to sell as Ndicka is considered untouchable and it is unclear whether United will test their resolve with a formal offer.
While the Giallorossi have made their stance clear, wealthy Premier League clubs have often managed to shift the narrative.
There is no clear indication that Ndicka is actively pushing for a move, as he is said to be settled in Rome.
If United choose to pursue defensive reinforcements, that is likely to come in the latter stages of the transfer window. They are working on attacking acquisitions at the moment.
Having completed a deal for Matheus Cunha, United are in negotiations with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo, while Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike remain of interest.
After a brief trip to Asia, Ruben Amorim’s side will continue their pre-season tour with a clash against Leeds United in Sweden on July 19.
