In line with a report from Fichajes, it has emerged that Manchester United have joined the race to sign Real Madrid’s highly-rated midfielder Arda Guler.
The outlet suggests that the Premier League side is reportedly preparing a substantial offer of around €60 million as they appear to inject younger creativity into their squad.
Guler’s time at Real Madrid has been anything but straightforward. Notwithstanding his great technical ability and promise, the former Fenerbahçe midfielder has struggled to set himself up in Carlo Ancelotti’s rotation.
A mixture of injuries, a loss of match rhythm, and extreme competition has significantly restricted his minutes and for a player used to being a centre piece at his former team, this case has grown to be a big talking point.
As a result, murmurs about Guler’s future have started to grow within the Real Madrid boardroom.

The Spanish giants are well aware of his skills, but with no clear pathway into the starting XI, the club is now being forced to assess whether a sale or a loan should be assessed.
Manchester United, aware of the developing uncertainty, are ready to take advantage.
Keeping in mind their long-term vision, they see Guler, who is also wanted by Arsenal, as a player who may want to thrive in England, especially in a squad that can give him the freedom to express himself.
Interestingly, Guler’s future can also rely closely on Real Madrid’s managerial state of affairs. If Carlo Ancelotti continues at the helm, Guler’s exit seems more likely.
However, if Xabi Alonso is appointed, the outlook could shift completely. The Bayer Leverkusen manager is understood to favour a trend that defines Guler’s style.
His admiration for the Turkish star could provide the continuity and belief that he has been seeking. But if there is no change, Guler’s exit could become a reality.
