Manchester United drew 2-2 at Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final first leg on Thursday night.

Joshua Zirkzee put United ahead late in the game, but Andre Onana’s mistake allowed Rayan Cherki to score the equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Striker Rasmus Hojlund was poor again, and he was replaced by Zirkzee at the hour mark.

Manager Ruben Amorim has been far from pleased with the young striker and may want him gone in the summer.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Serie A club Juventus are interested in Hojlund, and United are prepared to sell him for £52 million.

They would prefer a loan move, but the English giants want a sale to raise funds for new signings this summer.

Hojlund joined United in 2023 for £72m. He has failed to live up to his enormous price tag, scoring only 13 goals in 56 league appearances.

United are unlikely to recoup the initial fee they paid for him, as his value has decreased due to his miserable form.

Hojlund arrived at Old Trafford with a big reputation, but he has failed to live up to expectations and a return to Serie A makes sense.
