Manchester United are set to agree on a new contract with Marcus Rashford.

According to GiveMeSport, Manchester United are on the verge of agreeing a new contract with the England international. The club has been working hard to extend his deal and there is a belief he will sign a deal that will see him pocket approximately £300,000-a-week, as per The Sun.

That contract could run for another five years which would see Rashford commit his long-term future to the club. This is something Erik ten Hag and Manchester United fans want to see.

Rashford currently earns £225,000 per week on the books at Old Trafford on a contract that runs until the summer of 2024, as per Salary Sport.

The 25-year-old has turned his career around this season and is currently in the form of his life. With 10 Premier League goals to his name this season, it’s safe to say Ten Hag is doing a wonderful job with Rashford and deserves a lot of credit.

Rudy Galetti has told GiveMeSport that United are ‘ready’ to get an extension over the line for Rashford now that the transfer window has closed.

Galetti said: “There is no hurry because Rashford has just extended his contract for one more year, but now that the winter transfer window is closed, they are ready to finalize a new agreement and I think there will be no surprise.”

The Red Devils are currently third in the Premier League but may be able to push for runners-up with a strong end to the season. We’ll certainly need Rashford to stay fit to achieve that.
