Manchester United are interested in a double deal to sign Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni and Andriy Lunin this summer.

The Red Devils are keen to invest in the summer as Ruben Amorim reshapes the squad. Earlier this week, the club’s chief executive Omar Berrada revealed that funds would be available for signings regardless of whether the club secured European qualification.

“There’s no doubt that if we qualify to the Champions League, we will have more revenues and have more capacity to invest in the team,” he told the club’s official website.

“But we are putting in place various financial measures to allow us to go and invest at the summer, even if we’re outside of Europe.

“Ultimately, we want to be more efficient in our investment into the squad”.

United are currently 14th in the Premier League table, with success in the Europa League representing the last chance of salvaging place in Europe for next season.

On the club’s radar in terms of new additions are a central midfielder and goalkeeper. Doubts persist over Andre Onana, while both Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are expected to feature among midfield exits in the summer.

Spanish outlet Fichajes are reporting that United are interested in a double deal to sign Tchouameni and Lunin. The former has been a regular with Real Madrid this season but continues to be linked with the Premier League. Liverpool hold a long-standing interest in the Frenchman, while Chelsea are also admirers.

Lunin’s situation looks more straightforward. The Ukraine international is open to a departure in search of a first-team role. A key part of the club’s Champions League success last season, Lunin has reverted to a back-up role since the return of Thibaut Courtois from a long-term knee injury.
