Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Shola Shoretire from Manchester United on loan for the rest of the season.
The 18-year-old, who can play in various attacking positions, is extremely highly-rated at Old Trafford and has featured for the first-team on occasions over the years.
However, he is understandably finding it tough to get minutes now, with his game time this season coming for the development side, where he has shone.
Now though, it’s been decided that the next best step for his development is a loan move, with Shoretire joining Ian Evatt’s side for the remainder of the campaign.
And, speaking to the Bolton News, the boss explained why he was delighted to get this deal over the line.
“It is great testament to what we are doing and achieving here that clubs are trusting us to take these talents on, to develop and support them, and I think it is something to be proud of.”
Shoretire is expected to go straight into the squad for Bolton’s big game against Derby at home this weekend.

The verdict
This is a very exciting signing for Bolton as Shoretire is well regarded by United and he is someone with considerable talent and potential.
As Evatt says, it shows the club are viewed in a good light by the fact they are able to attract some of the better younger players from the top clubs.
So, this seems like a coup for Bolton and it’s now down to Shoretire to show what he can do with his new club over the coming months.
