Manchester United to make Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane move early next summer

Manchester United will look to approach Tottenham Hotspur early next summer to acquire the services of Harry Kane, according to The Guardian.

The Red Devils are eyeing a bid for the striker as soon as possible in the upcoming transfer window to smooth the negotiations with Spurs. Erik ten Hag has earmarked the English skipper as his top target to bolster the attack at the Old Trafford side.

However, United know that it is not going to be easy to deal with Daniel Levy. The North London side’s chief is known as a tough negotiator. Also, he is currently under pressure from the fans.

Kane is set to enter the final 12 months of his current contract at Tottenham in the coming months. However, Levy is open to keeping a hold of the 29-year-old despite the risk of having to lose the forward on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.

As things stand, the Old Trafford side are set to be in the Champions League next season barring any major slip up. But the Red Devils feel they will be able to challenge for the league title if they add the English skipper to their ranks.

To that end, United are willing to test Levy’s resolve in the next few weeks. But they do not want to spend the entire summer chasing Kane’s signature. Thus, the Old Trafford side will make an early approach for Tottenham’s talisman.

Ten Hag currently has Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as his only two natural options for the number nine position. The French national has been injury prone this season, while the Holland international is on loan from Burnley.

As for Tottenham, Kane has been our talisman for some years now. In the current campaign, the 29-year-old has been our only reliable outlet in front of goal.
