Manchester United are planning a £30m move to sign Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson in the January transfer window.

Left-back is an area of concern for the Red Devils with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia plagued by fitness issues, with both players currently sidelined. Shaw made just 12 league starts last season, while Malacia failed to make a competitive appearance in the entire 2023/24 campaign.

Erik ten Hag spent more than £205m on his squad in the summer transfer window but is planning further additions in January. Robinson is on the radar of the Dutchman after impressing at Fulham.

Diogo Dalot has deputised at left-back during the opening fixtures of the season, while summer recruit Noussair Mazraoui can play in the position. However, both players are right-footed and Robinson offers a more natural option.

The USA international led the Premier League for interceptions last season and has started the new season in fine form. He has recorded two assists in three games and tops the division for tackles won and dribblers tackled.

According to the Express, United are keen to sign Robinson and Fulham will not stand in the 27-year-old’s way if a suitable offer arrives. However, the Red Devils could need to raise funds through sales before signing the defender, following their summer investment.
