Manchester United will transfer list Anthony Martial in the summer as part of their plans to sign a new long-term striker.

The France international has been on the treatment table far too often— recovering from injuries to his hamstring, Achilles and back as well as muscular issues. In turn, Martial has been unavailable for 20 games this season.

However, there is no denying that Martial could be an asset if he was available more often. The 27-year-old has six goals and two assists in 14 appearances for United this term.

Martial was missing again at the weekend when Crystal Palace travelled to Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Martial is among the players United have listed to sell at the end of the season. Samuel Luckhurst reports that United decided to classify Martial as seeable before his latest injury setback.

The list also includes captain Harry Maguire and loanee full-back Alex Telles, who are both surplus to requirements at the top level.

Running out of patience with Martial

When it comes to availability, Martial is not delivering. The question now is will he ever reach his full potential? I don’t think so and United need to find a proper goalscorer.

Sadly, it is time to move on but I still hope to see him get a proper run in the team at some stage this season.
