Manchester United now favourites to sign Marcus Thuram amidst Inter approach

Manchester United are now the favourites to sign Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram ahead of Inter and Bayern Munich.

La Repubblica have reported that Erik ten Hag wants Thuram at Old Trafford and he is a big fan of the player’s profile. United are looking for a striker who can replace Cristiano Ronaldo, with Inter speaking to Thuram’s agents for weeks now in an attempt to find an agreement on a free transfer next summer.

Inter did put forward a four-year deal offer for the Frenchman and were willing to offer €5 million per season. But now, United are trying to convince Thuram about a January move, with Gladbach looking for €15 million and that is a fee which Inter can’t afford this month.
