Manchester United are interested in Greece international Konstantinos Karetsas, as per reports.

Belgium-born Karetsas has been grabbing plenty of headlines with his exciting performances for Genk since his senior breakthrough in 2024.

Still only 17, the attacking midfielder has already established himself as one of the most creative players in the Belgian Pro League this term, having registered four assists in all competitions.

Karetsas mainly operates as an attacking midfielder, but he is also capable of playing deep in midfield and on the left flank as a winger.

His impressive dribbling ability and link-up play appear to have attracted several clubs, and some are even following him during the international break.

According to TBR Football, United watched Karetsas for Greece against Scotland on Sunday. The Red Devils were joined by Liverpool and Newcastle United in attendance at Hampden Park.

The 17-year-old didn’t disappoint in Greece’s 3-0 win over the Tartan Army in the Nations League.

He doubled Greece’s lead late in the first half with a brilliant strike and became the youngest goalscorer in the history of Greek football.

The likes of Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest also reportedly watched Karetsas against Scotland, and the way he is performing for club and country, more sides could join the race for his signature.

As such, United would have to act decisively if they want to beat the competition for the highly-rated Greek midfielder.

The Mancunians have already missed out on Ruben Amorim’s key target, Geovany Quenda after Chelsea swiftly agreed a deal with Sporting CP to take the Portuguese to Stamford Bridge in 2026.

However, it seems Ineos’ priority is to focus on outgoings before adding new faces to their ranks. Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United are aiming to get rid of at least 10 players in the summer.
