Manchester United: Mason Mount returns to full training ahead of Liverpool FA Cup clash | OneFootball

has returned to full training with Manchester United ahead of the weekend visit of Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The £65million summer signing has been sidelined since November with a calf injury, severely hampering his first season at Old Trafford.

But, speaking to reporters on Friday, Erik ten Hag confirmed Mount is finally closing in on a return and could be in contention for the huge Old Trafford clash on Sunday.

"We had a good week,” Erik ten Hag said on Friday. “[Hojlund, Maguire and Wan-Bissaka] returned on the pitch, partly at the start of the week and today they had a session and are all training. I think [they will be fit to play].

“Tomorrow we have one session. We have to see how they recover from this but it looks good."

He added: "Tom Heaton is back as well, also very good. Mason Mount trained all week with us, he had some full sessions with us, so it's looking good."
