Manchester United boss José Mourinho has reportedly made Juventus left-back Alex Sandro the club’s main transfer target this summer.

The Red Devils search for a new full-back has been well-documented, with Luke Shaw certain to leave at the end of the season having fallen out spectacularly with the manager.

A host of names have been linked with the Old Trafford outfit in recent months, but the Manchester Evening News are insisting that it’s the Brazilian who United will look to land before next term.

The 27-year-old has been one of the Old Lady’s most consistent performers since joining from Porto in 2015.

Reports of moves to Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in recent seasons have failed to materialise, but the paper believes that Mourinho’s men can steal a march on those teams and sign Sandro in the coming months.

Juve are thought to be willing to listen to offers, but won’t accept anything less than €50m.

United meanwhile, are looking to offer somewhere nearer €30m plus Matteo Darmian.
