New manager Erik ten Hag is in London this week for meetings with Manchester United. Big decisions will be made ahead of the upcoming season before he meets his players ahead of pre-season training.

We hope Ten Hag finds time for a break, too, because managing Manchester United will be like nothing he has ever witnessed in his career.

But right now it’s about addressing a lot of problems that exist not only in the team, but also at the very top of the club. The structure has been a mess for years and it is crucial to have the right people working around Ten Hag.

With more meetings planned for the coming days and in Manchester next week, the Telegraph claims United are ready to push ahead with their summer transfer plans.

The report suggests United want midfielders, versatile forwards, a centre-back and potentially even a right back. We will need more recruits next year to continue the rebuild and it may take time for all of these players to gel.

Moreover, Ten Hag would like to add Frenkie de Jong to his squad but signing the Netherlands midfielder would see the £120m transfer budget take a hit.

United need to fill a number of positions this summer, so they will have to use the money they have wisely, unlike what we’ve seen in previous summers.

Let us know in the comments section who you would like to see at United this summer.
