Manchester United are reportedly turning their attention towards the right flank for investment over the course of the next two transfer windows.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s desire to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho was well publicised but unfortunately, he didn’t get the player he wanted.

Instead, the legendary Norwegian was given two youngsters in Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo, with the former still plying his trade in the U23s and the latter not reaching until January.

Even with the current Atlanta star, there have been calls for patience as United are hesitant to place any first-team pressures on him just yet.

Nonetheless, the difficulties the team are facing on the right flank have been obvious and have continued on in this inconsistent season.

According to ESPN, the Red Devils feel providing Wan-Bissaka with real competition will see his attacking game improve.

There’s also the feeling that a right-winger, who will provide adequate support, is still a priority after the failings of the last transfer window.

After buying two young right-wingers, it seems strange to still have an eye on more over the next two windows.

Given Manchester United’s insistence on not having a desire to sell Diogo Dalot, wanting competition for Wan-Bissaka also seems to be a weird call.
