If Premier League clubs weren’t already going after Jude Bellingham, perhaps reaching a category that includes Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi that would generate an even more significant market for the teenager.

Give Me Sport pointed out on Twitter that Bellingham is the first U-20 player to score and assist at a FIFA World Cup since Lionel Messi. The 19-year-old scored his first goal in England’s opening group-stage matchup against Iran at the international tournament.

Then, against Senegal, the Borussia Dortmund star provided an assist that helped the Three Lions advance past the African nation in the Round of 16 and into the quarterfinals.

Despite his young age, Bellingham is making his presence known and proving that he’s the future for England heading into the 2026 World Cup in North America.

However, with the January transfer window set to open in a couple of weeks, the teenager can parlay his performance in Qatar into a big move back to England and join a top-six Premier League side, with Manchester United and Liverpool among the clubs reportedly interested.
