Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas is attracting interest from Manchester United and a few other clubs in Europe. Navas has won a bagful of trophies with Real Madrid and his current club Paris Saint-Germain, including three Champions League titles with Los Blancos.

As per Marca, PSG could allow Navas to leave following the imminent signature of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Manchester United, along with Juventus and AC Milan are interested in the Costa Rican keeper. The French club reportedly want a fee of €12 million for Navas.

The 34-year-old had signed an extension to his PSG deal earlier this year, which now expires in 2024. Keylor Navas has made 80 appearances for the French side in two seasons proving his doubters wrong time and again as he did in his time in Spain.

Keylor Navas: Should Ole Make A Move For Him?

Keylor Navas is regarded as one of the most underrated goalkeepers in world football. Navas did superbly well in his spell at Real Madrid, before being replaced by Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois. And yet again, despite doing well, he is set to be replaced by another big-name keeper in Donnarumma. The 34-year-old is a superb shot-stopper, a commanding figure in his own box, and an organizer. Navas is a dependable figure at the back and has vast experience of playing in Europe.

Manchester United have a big summer up ahead in the transfer market as they are primed to sign a few star players. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to make a big decision regarding the No. 1 spot at the club as both David de Gea and Dean Henderson want to be the first-choice goalkeeper. Henderson had a mixed first season at Old Trafford, impressing at times but making a few costly errors, including in the game against Liverpool at home. de Gea, meanwhile, is not the same player that drew interest from Real Madrid all those years ago.

The addition of a player like Navas will only cause more issues for Solskjaer. The PSG goalkeeper would also not want to sit on the bench, so the Red Devils should make a move only if they have sold de Gea or Henderson, and convinced the one that will stay back that he will have to compete with Navas for the No. 1 jersey.

Keylor Navas will also be a short-term solution to the goalkeeping problem as he turns 35 later this year and in a demanding English league, might not have more than a couple of competitive years left in the tank.

Solskjaer is in a tricky situation on the goalkeeping front and has some hard decisions to make. Selling one of de Gea or Henderson and backing the keeper that stays for another season would be the right decision. Signing Navas may not make sense, especially with rumours of United bringing back Tom Heaton to the club, who would be better suited to be the No. 2.
