Felix Nmecha came through Manchester City academy but failed to establish himself there. As a result, he moved to Wolfsburg before Borussia Dortmund lured him away in the summer of 2023. Since then, he has emerged as a key member of the squad.

Nmecha is showing a high level of displays in the ongoing campaign. He has already netted three goals and provided two assists in 19 games so far. He is averaging 1.7 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, and 0.9 clearances per game (stats via whoscored).
The German midfielder is quite versatile to don different roles but his best profile is box-to-box midfielder. He has great defensive abilities, which provide solidity in the middle of the park. At the same time, he can also contribute significantly to the offensive front.
Manchester United’s interest in Felix Nmecha is understandable as they lack quality in the midfield. They brought Manuel Ugarte from PSG this summer but the player has failed to adapt so far. With Casemiro also being inconsistent, they surely need reinforcement.
Nmecha is technically sound and can be a good addition to Ruben Amorim’s unit. His adaptability, versatility, and high work-rated would be welcomed by the Red Devils. He can be a long-term investment as he has many years to offer at the highest level.
Notably, Borussia Dortmund are ready to let the midfielder leave in the winter window if any buyer meets their demand of €40-45 million fee. It remains to be seen if Manchester United will knock on the doors or prefer reserving this transfer for the next summer window.
