In a recent report, TyC Sports stated that Manchester United are keeping tabs on Boca Juniors starlet Aaron Anselmino this summer. It has been claimed that the Red Devils could face competition in the form of AC Milan in the race to land the Argentine centre-back.

Anselmino’s Impressive Rise In Argentine Football

Anselmino has come up Boca Juniors’ youth system and has done well to break into their first team recently. He has caught the eye with his performances at the heart of the Argentine club’s backline.

The 18-year-old has already made five senior appearances for his current employers so far across all competitions. At the moment, Anselmino is amongst the bright young talents in Argentine football.

His current deal at Boca Junior will run out at the end of 2028 which would make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap in the summer transfer period.

Manchester United Are Keeping Tabs On Anselmino: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Anselmino is a solid tackler of the ball and can read the danger well to secure possession back for his side inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot.

Standing at 1.86m, the Argentine whizkid is a dominant presence in the air as well. However, he is still quite raw and would need more time to develop into a top talent. Still, there is no denying that Anselmino would be a great, long-term signing for the Red Devils to pull off in the summer.

At 18, the Argentine sensation is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future. Hence, Man United boss Erik ten Hag should focus on getting a deal done for him at the end of this campaign.

Anselmino’s ceiling is quite high and could go on to become a future first team starter at Old Trafford if ten Hag manages to bring him on board when the transfer window commences later this year. However, the Mancunian club would have to be patient with his progress before they can promote him to their senior team in the coming years.
