Manchester United are reportedly in discussions to sign centre-back Kostas Manolas.
The Red Devils may have conceded just three goals in five matches under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but are looking to bolster their backline.
Having conceded 29 goals in just 17 matches under former manager José Mourinho, a new defender would make a welcome addition.
With an apparent summer release clause of €36m, reports in Manolas’ homeland of Greece claim United are in talks to take him to Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old has made 21 appearances in Italy this season and also scored the crucial goal against Barcelona which sent Roma into last season’s Champions League semi-finals.
Manolas has made nearly 200 appearances for the Serie A club since signing in 2014 having previously featured for AEK Athens and Olympiacos
