According to Le Parisien, Manchester United are in talks with Olympique Lyonnais over a move for Argentinian international Nicolás Tagliafico (30).
The two clubs are in discussions over a move for the left-back, however, there seems to be a disagreement over the form of the move. Manchester United want to loan Tagliafico, whereas Lyon want to include an obligation to buy into the deal.
Tagliafico joined Lyon for just under €5m from Ajax Amsterdam last summer. Since his move, he has featured 41 times for Les Gones, scoring twice and registering five assists in that time. The Argentina international has played in all three of Lyon’s Ligue 1 games this season, scoring once.
Manchester United are in the market for a left-back following an injury to Luke Shaw (28). Tagliafico is not the only name of the list. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Erik Ten Hag’s side also have an interest in Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella (25).
