In a recent post on X, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Manchester United have identified Torino keeper Vanja Milinković-Savić as a target. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the Serbian custodian to Old Trafford in this summer transfer window.
Milinković-Savić has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Italian club as he has put in a run of impressive displays in goal for them in Serie A. The 28-year-old has conceded 39 goals and secured 11 clean sheets in 36 matches for Torino this season on all fronts.
The Serbian talent has been a consistent performer for the Italian outfit based on his average of 1.3 clearances and 7.6 long balls per game in Serie A. He has lacked quality when distributing the ball from the back after completing 63.3% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Italian football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Italian club will expire at the end of next season. Thus, the Red Devils could potentially sign Milinkovic-Savic on a cut-price deal this summer.

Milinkovic-Savic is a good handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few important saves for his team. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed but needs to improve his ball distribution from the back.
Standing at 2.02m, Milinković-Savić is a towering presence inside his penalty area. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board this summer.
Milinkovic-Savic would add more quality to Man United boss Ruben Amorim’s goalkeeping department. He is good enough to compete with Andre Onana for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford next season.
At 28, Milinkovic-Savic is playing in his prime which makes him a great choice for the Mancunian giants to consider in this summer transfer window. With all things considered, Amorim would be wise to engineer a move to lure the Torino star to the Theatre of Dreams as he would help the Red Devils compete across all competitions over the next few years.
