Like Chelsea and Arsenal fans before them, Manchester United fans gathered on Sunday to protest against club ownership amid recent Super League developments.
United host Liverpool in the Premier League tonight but hundreds of protesters made their way to Old Trafford to make their disapproval known.
After walking through streets surrounding the stadium with banners, some fans broke into the stadium and made their way onto the pitch â singing songs and lighting flares.
There is growing frustration being aimed towards the Glazer family â who took full ownership of the club in 2005 â with the club in considerable debt and struggling for trophies.
It remains unclear whether these protests will have an affect on tonightâs fixture against Liverpool, which is due to kick off at 16:30 GMT.
