Manchester United face the prospect of paying players millions to leave the club this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The Red Devils aim to boost their spending power by offloading players who are no longer wanted at Old Trafford, but buying clubs are ready to capitalise on their need to sell.
United are open to offers for Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony, but the trio have contracts until 2028, which they will probably need to subsidise if they leave to join another club.
Barcelona have reportedly made Rashford their number one target after failing to sign Liverpool’s Luis Diaz and Athletic Club star Nico Williams.
Rashford has expressed his desire to play for the Spanish giants. However, agreeing a transfer fee and wages are stumbling blocks to a potential deal.
Garnacho had a public falling out with manager Ruben Amorim and also looks to be on his way out of Manchester.
Napoli have a strong interest in the Argentine but are unlikely to meet United’s £70m valuation.
Antony spent the second half of the 2024-25 season at Real Betis, where he scored nine goals in 26 games.
Betis are keen to sign him permanently this summer, but the financial costs for a deal could be too much for them.
