Bayern Munich have rejected Manchester United’s joint bid for Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraouri according to the Telegraph.

Personal terms have been agreed with the pair, who have been offered five year contracts with a further 12 month options.

The deal United presented was considered appealing but are unlikely to return an increased of offer.

Newcastle are set to open talks with Anthony Gordon once he returns from his holiday, according to The Athletic.

This comes after the Magpies held discussions with Liverpool over the 23-year-old as they tried to find £60m ahead of the Premier League’s PSR deadline on June 30.

Elsewhere, Conor Gallagher has been told by Chelsea that he will only be a squad player this season if he remains at the club, according to Sky Sports.

Gallagher has been set a deadline by the end of this weekend to accept Atletico Madrid’s offer after the Spanish club agreed a £34m deal with the Blues for the midfielder.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis wants to persuade Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar to become CEO of Forest and Olympiacos according to Universo Online.

And West Ham are set to complete two deals, with Borussia Dortmund striker Niklas Fullkrug and Guido Rodriguez planning to have medicals over the weekend, the Evening Standard report.
