Manchester United have completed the signing of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo for a fee of £65 million, potentially rising to £71 million with add-ons.
The 25-year-old makes the move to Old Trafford on a five-year-deal, ending a brilliant six years with the Bees, in which time he helped the club to both promotion from the Championship in 2021, and consolidation in the Premier League since.
Mbeumo had been linked with several clubs, most notably Tottenham and Newcastle, after a stunning season which saw him score 20 league goals and provide seven assists, but it was reported in early June that United was his preferred destination.
The Cameroon international becomes Ruben Amorim's second high-profile signing this summer following on from the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
The pair appear ideal fits for the two No.10 positions in the Portuguese head coach's preferred 3-4-3 system, and continue a much-needed rebuild of the team.
