Manchester United clash with Sevilla – 2022/23 Europa League knockout draw | OneFootball

The draw for the next knockout rounds of the Europa League has been completed.

The big shock of the previous round came at the Emirates Stadium. Premier League leaders Arsenal were eliminated by Sporting CP, partially thanks to a stunning goal from the halfway line by Pedro Goncalves.

Joining Sporting in the next round are Union Saint-Gilloise, Sevilla, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester United, Roma, and Feyenoord.

They knocked out Union Berlin, Fenerbahce, Freiburg, Ferencvaros, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively.

The headline tie of the draw came between Manchester United and Sevilla. The former are the favourites to win the competition, while the latter are historically the Europa League’s most successful club.

This will be the Red Devils’ fourth trip to Spain this season, having previously faced Real Sociedad, Barcelona and Real Betis.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord were drawn against Roma in a repeat of last season’s Europa Conference League final. Jose Mourinho’s men came out on top on that occasion, thanks to Nicolo Zaniolo’s first-half strike.

The first legs of the quarter-finals are scheduled for April 13. The second legs will take place on April 20.
