Manchester United attacker Leah Galton has signed a contract extension with the club.

The Red Devils announced the news this evening via a post on their official club website.

Galton has been with Manchester United since their formation as a full-time professional club. The attacker joined The Red Devils from Bayern Munich in summer 2018. Galton has made 125 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions in which she has scored 36 goals.

Highlights in Galton’s Manchester United career to date include winning the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2018/2019 and reaching the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final for the first time last season. The player was also a member of the Manchester United squad that made their European debut in the UEFA Women’s Champions League this season.

Galton remains a hugely important player for Manchester United and the club have moved to tie her down for an extended period.

After signing her contract extension at Manchester United, Galton said “I’m delighted to continue my journey with Manchester United and want to thank my friends, family and team-mates for their continued support – along with our wonderful fans, who have been great to me throughout my time here.”

Galton and Manchester United are next in action when they face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Leigh Sports Village on Sunday.
