Manchester United announce Matheus Cunha signing

Manchester United have struck a deal with Wolves to bring in Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha.

The 26-year-old is United’s first signing of the summer, after the club triggered a £62.5 million (€74m) release clause in his contract.

Cunha was spotted in Manchester over the weekend as he underwent his medical.

The ex-Atletico Madrid forward is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option to extend for another year.

He had an impressive season with Wolves, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists across all competitions.
